200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course

March 2015

Every year, intuYoga collaborates and hosts an intensive 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course, led by international senior yoga guest teachers from India, South America and Europe.

This is a great opportunity for those who wish to access a traditional training in an inspiring location closer to home as well as international students who wish to enjoy an unforgettable stay in Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

The Yoga Teacher Training Course is a comprehensive Yoga Alliance approved 200 hours program run over 4 weeks. The course is designed to initiate students onto the path of yoga and prepare them to teach others.

It is a rewarding way to develop a Yoga practice, awaken your inner teacher and gain an internationally recognized teaching certification.

Whether you are just starting out on your journey to become a teacher, seeking to enhance your teaching skills or simply wish to develop your personal practice, our teacher training course will provide you with the tools to enrich your practice and teach authentically, grounded both in self-awareness and experiential knowledge.

We strongly recommend that applicants have a minimum of 6 months consistent Yoga practice

Do you accept everyone who applies to the training?

We limit our class sizes to ten students as we believe in giving the highest caliber of training possible. We carefully read and consider every application. We also look for enthusiasm to learn

The days are long and you will be exhausted after each day. Students are advised to go to bed early.  It’s normal to feel pleasantly overwhelmed and tired. Bring snacks and lunch to see you through the day

Once you have been through the certification course you can teach anywhere in the world

I simply want to deepen my practice and not necessarily teach, can I take the program?

Absolutely!

Yes. Yoga Alliance has a criteria that every certified school must follow. Therefore, whatever time you miss you must make arrangements with the faculty to make up the lost time
